Thursday July 5, 2007 IANH Youth group host surprise party to their team lead Asish Andavarappu.

Asish has been the leader of the IANH Youth Group since its inception about a year ago. He will be leaving for North Carolina and will no longer be able to lead the group. For his time and dedication to the Youth Group, a party was held at the Glow Bowl center in Nashua NH. The youth group has had some very interesting activities in the past year and they are even having our own blog website under the IANH banner. Sunday July 15, 2007 Volunteers from IANH prepare and serve lunch at the Nashua Soup Kitchen

Volunteers from IANH prepared and served food for more than 60 people. They helped prepare and serve a hearty meal of ziti, with spring salad, bread, and dessert.The next cooking services are scheduled for Sept 16th, Oct 21, and Dec 16 for this year. The association welcomes anyone to join its team of volunteers. Please contact Barinder if you would like to participate.

Contributions Invited to Samaj Patra

The summer edition of Samaj Patra would be published towards at the end of July 2007. This edition is timed for distribution to IANH members prior to the IANH Annual Picnic on August 18, 2007.

Samaj Patra is the official newsletter of the India Association of New Hampshire. It is published four times a year and each issue is mailed to about 300 member families. We are inviting your contributions to the summer edition of the Samaj Patra in any of the following categories. Please email your contributions to the Associate Editor Manish Manchanda at Manish_ianh@yahoo.com with a copy to the Editor Dr. Tej Dhakar at dhakar@comcast.net by Sunday July 15, 2007:

Member News (prizes, awards, scholarships, graduations, promotions, accomplishments, child births, weddings, family events, etc.)
Members Corner (stories, poems, articles, etc. written by the members)
Letters to the Editor (suggestions, ideas, opinions, feedback, etc.)

India Association of New Hampshire is organizing its Annual Picnic at Kingston State Park on Saturday August 18, 2007 (rain date: August 19). Last year, more than a hundred members attended the picnic. We have a number of sponsorships available on a first-come-served basis. Community Events/Announcements  

Sunday, August 12th, 2007, the India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB) will celebrate India Day 2007 at the Hatch Memorial Shell in Boston. The program is a celebration of India's Independence Day and will be hosted in collaboration with other Indian associations and the Greater Boston Indian-American community. This a cultural program with a rich menu of Indian folk dances, skits, music, songs and food. The Program will be from 4:00PM to 9PM. Please visit the the IAGB Website for more information. September 21 - 23, 2007 NewMarket Heritage festival will celebrate the heritage of a small New England Town. There will be dances, entertainment featuring several ethnic groups. This year there will be performances and cooking demonstrations by members of the New Hampshire Indian Community. Visit website for more information.
