As part of its ongoing public service initiative, the Indian Association of New Hampshire recently held a variety of cultural programs at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home. The children entertained the senior citizens at the nursing home with classical melodies on the keyboards and vigorous Bollywood pop dances.
Madhumitha Sriram played the keyboard and also recited several 'shlokas' (sacred hymns). Roshini Narasimhan sang semi-classical songs in Hindi and Tamil. Meghna Tadepalli gave an introduction to South Indian Classical Music and sang a piece in the raga 'Mohanam'. She also played on the keyboard. Ilina Shah invigorated the audience with her graceful dancing to Bollywood numbers.
Neil Shah played the 'Sonatina' on the keyboard.
The senior citizens were highly appreciative of the association’s efforts and were thoroughly entertained by the evening’s performances.
