November 1993 :IANH (formerly NHAAI) raised $4836 to help the victims of the earthquake in Maharashtra India. NHAAI donated $1000 each to Vivekananda Hospital in Latur Maharashtra and Maharashtra Foundation. Town of Latur suffered severe damage during the earthquake. The balance was donated to the Prime Minister Relief fund and Chief Minister of Maharashtra Relief fund.
The check for the Prime Minister Relief fund was collected on behalf of Ambassador
Siddharth Shankar Ray by an official at the Indian Embassy in Washington DC in
November 1993.

February 2001:
IANH raised $2950 to help the earthquake victims of Bhuj, Gujarat. A meeting was held on February 17, 2001 to discuss the distribution of funds. The Executive committee considered several organizations, such as, Government sponsored, International Relief organizations, and Gujarathi cultural organizations as potential recipients of our collection.
The Executive Committee decided to send the money to GURJAR of New England. IANH expresses sincere thanks to the membership.
