On Sunday March 16, 2008 IANH volunteers Prasad and Pratheek Kalyanapu, Meghna and Karthi Chandra and Hari Santhanaraghavan helped to to prepare and serve hot lunch to the guests at the Nashua Soup Kitchen.
On the auspicious pleasant Palm Sunday the cooking team arrived promptly at 9 a.m. and started making preparations for lunch that included turkey meat loaf, mashed potatoes and gravy under the able guidance of Nashua Soup Kithcen's Doug Aldrich to over eighty guests. It was the first time our volunteers got to use the new steam table that was donated recently by IANH. The guests were appreciative of the service rendered by the NH Indian American community. The volunteers closed the facility at 2 p.m. after clean-up.

The event was sponsored by Karthi Chandra in the memory of her late parents. The guests were very appreciative of the tasty lunch and many of them individually thanked our volunteers for the sumptous meal. IANH is a member of the Nashua Soup Kitchen’s ‘Champions in action’ team.. Please contact Vandana if you would like to contribute for future events.
