On Sunday December 16, 2007 IANH volunteers Sai and Ramya Krishna, Prithvi and Kala Kumar, Raj and Narinder Jain, Ravi Datla, Anindita, and Alappatt Joby helped to prepare and serve hot lunch to the guests at the Nashua Soup Kitchen.
It was a miserable day to travel with the Nor’easter dumping more than seven inches of snow on the streets. The cooking team arrived promptly at 8:30 AM and started making preparations for lunch that included lentil soup and ziti. Narinder, and Raj Jain, Anindita and Alapatt Joby joined the team at 11:30 to prepare the table and serve the meal to over forty guests. The guests were appreciative of the service rendered by the NH Indian American community in spite of the inclement weather. The volunteers closed the facility at 1:30 PM after clean-up. IANH is the member of the Nashua Soup Kitchen’s ‘Champions in action’ team. The next service at the Nashua Soup Kitchen is scheduled on Sunday February 17th. Please contact Vandana if you would like to contribute for future events.
