Despite the heat, families
gathered at the Brookdale Fruit Farm in Hollis, NH to pick blueberries,
raspberries and cherries! Much fun was had and it was a pleasure to meet new
families at the farm. Many thanks to all those who turned out on such a warm
day!
In consideration of the annual
picnic, there will not be a group gathering for August. The next gathering will
be held September 16th, at 1:00 PM at the Lowell National Historical
Park, in Lowell, MA (http://www.nps.gov/lowe/2002/loweweb/visiting/kids.htm).
Children will be able to participate in the Junior Ranger activity, which when
completed, earns them the title of Junior Ranger and an official badge! We hope
to see you and your family there! Admission and activities are free.
For October, the gathering will
take place at the Mariposa Museum, Peterborough, NH at 1:00 PM on Oct 21st
(http://www.mariposamuseum.org/index.html).
If we can get a group of 8 or more persons to attend, an official tour can be
organized at a discounted rate. This is a wonderful facility and gives the
children a unique opportunity to explore the various cultures around the world.
